Game PHASES

- IN ORDER -

These are the various phases that the game follows. Each phase has its own set of rules so be sure to understand them!

Pre-Game PHASES

Plane Crash

If the previous game ended in a victory then this cutscene will play. All players will be teleported to a plane in the sky. After a few seconds, an explosion will be heard and players will crash back into the ravine where they came from. This is, ultimately, the lore behind the game.

Heart Coins

When the game starts, each player starts with a base and max health of 3❤! Luckily, players are given an opportunity to increase it with [HEART COINS]!
Players will be given said [HEART COINS] for a chance to increase their max by 1 for every time they get heads!
The amount of [HEART COINS] given at the beginning of a game varies by game. You can run the command /ravine settings to check it.

Once all players have rolled all of their [HEART COINS], the game will start the Passports phase.

---

See [HEART COIN] under UNCRAFTABLE ITEMS tab.

Passports

When the Passport phase begins, each player is given a [PASSPORT].
When players activate the [PASSPORT], they will be assigned a unique character card with a unique ability!

---

See the RAVINE CHARACTER CARDS tab.

Game Interlude

A very short phase that explains the rules briefly.

(( IMPOSTOR MODE ))
Picks one player among the players to become an impostor!

---

See the PHASES tab in its entirety.

Main Game PHASES

Madness Phase

The most comedic phase among the three main game phases. This phase is skipped unless there is one player or more with 1. All players at 1 are given a [MADNESS STICK] which players must Right Click one at a time to proceed with the game. Effects range from cosmetic, comedic, harmful, and even beneficial, and their effects can be instant or last a day! Each card has a different effect so please check it out beforehand!

During this phase, players are NOT able to heal regardless of the game's settings.

Players are NOT able to drop items or trade during this phase!

---

* See the MADNESS DECK under the DECKS tab

Foraging Period/Phase

During this period, players can go to the foraging area to find [MATERIALS] in order to craft items and ultimately stay alive.

In order to find [MATERIALS], players must find sparkling grass and break them to get one [MATERIAL] and possibly extra if they have a [BASKET]* or they are Josh the Noob in trade of -1. Players are able to forage until they have 0❤. Only until the end of the foraging period/phase will the game check for players with 0❤ and kill them. Players can then return to the main area by going back into the cave where they came from. Once they leave the foraging area, they can not return for a second time during the day unless they are the character, Jakk-Hammer.

Once the player leaves the foraging area and returns to the main area, they may right click in the air holding [MATERIAL] to roll an item and pick retrieve an item from the FORAGING DECK**.

Only during this period, all players are able to drop items and trade with each other. With the few exceptions being the [SATCHEL VIEWER], [HEART COINS], and Character Items. Dead players are also able to drop items, though they will not be able to pick anything back up.

Furthermore, this period is the only time players can craft items. The full list of craftable items can be found under the CRAFTING TABLE tab.
The Crafting Table is a stone slab with a cauldron under it.

If a player has completed everything they want to do, they may go to a tent and Right Click a bed to signal the end of their turn. Their name on the sidebar will turn green indicating that they have confirmed that they are done.

When the phase is over, either if all players have confirmed with the bed or if the timer hits zero, players at 0❤ will finally die, foraging players are teleported back to spawn, players with unrolled [MATERIAL] will be lost forever, and items on the floor will disappear. Then, the Night Phase will start.

(( IMPOSTOR MODE ADDITIONAL RULES ))
The impostor can choose any item they want to receive shall they forage for it. [SHROOMS] cannot be obtained. [TNT] can only be obtained ONCE.
If the game has started with three or less players, [TNT] cannot be used.
The impostor can poison food by crouching while dropping food to poison it!
The impostor can select a player to target by right clicking them during this phase.
The impostor can either douse the fire by selecting it in the [SATCHEL VIEWER] and walking near the fire OR steal two items from their target and then selecting it in the [SATCHEL VIEWER]
During this phase, the impostor can choose a player to target and make them take damage at the end of the night.

---

* See [BASKET] under the CRAFTABLE ITEMS tab

** See FORAGING DECK under the DECKS tab

VOTING PHASE (IMPOSTOR ONLY PHASE)

During this phase, if there are three or more players alive left, a voting session will commence!

Among the alive players, they may deliberate and vote on who they think is the impostor or skip the vote!

The option with the most votes at the end of the 30 seconds given will be the final option. If a player has the most votes, they will be voted out and PERMANENTLY DIE.

Night Phase

This is the most dangerous phase among the three main game phases. This phase is the primary source of damage and death! Every night phase, a random night card* will be chosen at random. Some night cards will do nothing, deal damage, and/or cause you to lose items if you are not properly equipped or skilled enough with the effect. Each card has a different effect so please check it out beforehand!

During this phase, whether a player can heal varies by game and You can run the command /ravine settings to check it.

Players are NOT able to drop items or trade during this phase!

If, by the end of the phase, a player has survived and it is the last day, the game will go to The Escape phase in POST-GAME PHASES.

(( IMPOSTOR MODE ADDITIONAL RULES ))
If the impostor has a target, the target will take damage based on these conditions:
If there are four or more players alive then they will lose 2❤.
If there are less than four players alive then they will lose 1❤.

---

* See the NIGHT DECK under the DECKS tab

POST-Game PHASES

The Escape

If a player(s) have reached this phase, then they have won the game. There is no timer and no way to die here.

In order to escape, players must go to the Foraging Area and board the aircraft.
Once all alive players board the aircraft, the final cutscene will play, and it will end in a "YOU WIN!" screen and the game will reset.

Dead players are also able to board the plane albeit they are not required to and they will be noted as dead at the end.

Achieving this cutscene will cause the next game to have the PLANE CRASH phase in PRE-GAME PHASES.

(( IMPOSTOR MODE ))
Only achievable if at least ONE SURVIVOR makes it out.
If the escape is achieved, then ALL SURVIVORS win and the IMPOSTOR loses.

GAME OVER

If all players have died before the final night is over, then they have lost the game.

The game will tell players how many days they have survived and how many days was left in order to escape.

The game will end in a "GAME OVER!" screen and the game will reset.

(( IMPOSTOR MODE ))
If the GAME OVER screen is achieved then the IMPOSTOR wins and ALL SURVIVORS lose.

[STEAK]

A meal that waits for nobody! A fresh slab, perfectly cooked medium rare, and raring to eat... just for you to enjoy!

Usages:

Eat during the Foraging Period/Phase to heal +3❤.
You can heal during the night of the settings allow for it. You can run the command /ravine settings to check it.
This can be poisoned by the character Slimy Waffles. Eating it will damage you -3❤.
If the player is inflicted with the "Captain Crunchy" madness effect, you can eat this to get rid of it.

[STONE]

An uncommon necessity that can be used to bulk up other things and make them slightly stronger! Surprisingly breaks in one hit though!

Usages:

Crafting a [SPEAR] -- x1 [WOOD], x1 [STONE]

[TNT]

Whoa whoa whoa. Where did you get that? You shouldn't be waving that around... With just the hit of any player, you'll instantly kill them!

Usages:

Right Click any player while holding [TNT] to insta-kill them!
Only one [TNT] can be foraged per deck. But if the deck is reshuffled due to an empty deck, having two is possible midgame.
This item can be discarded in three ways. Burning in fire (it is safe), drop it and have it despawn due to a game phase change, or use it on a player that will die.

[Wood]

A very common necessity that can be used as the core of many parts! They're a staple! What wouldn't you do without wood?!

Usages:

Crafting and LIGHTING A FIRE -- x1 [WOOD]

Crafting a [SPEAR] -- x1 [WOOD], x1 [STONE]

Crafting a [BASKET] -- x1 [WOOD], x3 [FIBER]

Items From CraftING Table

These are items that can be crafted using the Crafting Table during Foraging Period/Phase.
The Crafting Table is a stone slab with a cauldron under it.

[BASKET]

Perhaps the most broken item in the game! Whenever you forage during Foraging Period/Phase you'll get one extra [MATERIAL] on your journey! This does not stack with other baskets!

Required Materials:

Crafting a [BASKET] -- x1 [WOOD], x3 [FIBER]

Usage:

Go to the foraging area and break a sparkling tallgrass! You will receive one extra [MATERIAL]! This can only be used once a Foraging Period/Phase.
The [BASKET] effect does not stack if you have more than one [BASKET].
Once you have broken one sparkling tallgrass, the [BASKET] effect can not be used until the next day.
Once you have broken one sparkling tallgrass, you can not drop the [BASKET] until the next day.
If the player as Jakk-Hammer forages a second time for the foraging period/phase, they will not get the [BASKET] effect twice.
The [BASKET] effect stacks with Josh the Noob's ability.
Other players can drop the materials to craft a [BASKET] to a player who has not foraged yet. The player can then craft a basket and use its effects.

[BREAD]

You can heal during the night of the settings allow for it. You may run the command /ravine settings to check it.

Usage:

Crafted at a Crafting Table. Simply open the Crafting Table and press LIGHT A FLARE. It will automatically do its thing.
